A great start to the New Year for the Boro faithful after a comprehensive away win at our neighbours Wingate where the away Boro fans outnumbered the home support .After a bright opening 10 minutes by the hosts Boro began to put a few moves together and on one such foray upfield Barker forced a wonderful save from Gore in the Wingate goal. This was a prelude to what was to come as Gore thereafter performed heroics. The real game changer however was the straight red card for Eadie after a foul on Boro captain Olufemi after 28 minutes. From the resultant free kick Richards ( pictured ) picked up the loose ball and powered a shot past Gore. The numerical advantage told immediately as Gore first saved from Gabriel, then Mcdonald Richards and Kirby all before the interval. 1-0 half time and Boro came out strongly in the second half looking for a second to ease any nerves . Gore once again save from Mcdonald but shortly thereafter Mcdonald did find the net on 60 minutes with a rare stooping header at the far post after an excellent cross from Olufemi . On 69 minutes the game was sealed with the best goal of the match by Durojaiye who latched onto a Barker pass and struck high into the roof of the net from 20 yards. Thereafter Boro piled on the pressure forcing Gore into many more superb saves the pick of which being a double save , first from Nouble’s effort and then Aresti’s follow up. He was however powerless to prevent Kirby from adding a 4th goal on the stroke of full time to give the scoreline a more reflective look of the game as a whole.
