Dear Supporters/Season Ticket Holders
OUR FA TROPHY DRAW AT SITTINGBOURNE ON SATURDAY LAST MEANS THAT WE WILL BE PLAYING THEM IN THE REPLAY AT COLES PARK ON MONDAY 13th (7.45pm) OUR SCHEDULED LEAGUE MATCH AT HOME TO POTTERS BAR TOWN HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A DATE YET TO BE SCHEDULED . Although Season Tickets will not be valid as this is a game where all must pay (£7 standard, £3 concessions) and the proceeds have to be shared with the visitors we do urge everyone to come and voice their support for the lads. The encouragement provided by those who made their way to Sittingbourne on Saturday was most welcome and on Monday we will obviously be in the majority and so in a position to make our presence even more forcefully heard.
The Third Qualifying Round Draw will take place on Monday so we will know what our reward for the winners will be by kick-off time. There must be a result on Monday, if necessary after extra time and a penalty shoot-out.
The next two games for the First Team are away matches.
On Saturday 18th we visit Brentwood Town at The Arena, Brentwood Centre, Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood, CM15 9NN. Train travel will be very difficult due to engineering works with a bus replacement service starting at Stratford as far as Romford where a train can then be taken to Brentwood Station from where buses on Route 37 to the Brentwood Centre leave at about 15 minute intervals. The journey will take in excess of 2 hours.
On the evening of Tuesday 21st we are away to current Divisional leaders Canvey Island at Park Lane, Canvey Island, SS8 7PX. Frequent trains leave Fenchurch Street for Benfleet (via Barking) with a 45 minute journey time then bus on Route 27 to Leigh Beck at half hourly intervals, 20 minute ride.
But on 17th there is the rare chance to see a game at Coles Park on a Friday evening when our Under 23 Development Team will be entertaining their counterparts from Ware. And on Tuesday 21st the Under 18s will be entertaining Edgware Town.
