Two late Carshalton goals saw what was a tight game appear as one sided which it was most certainly not.
In the 1st half Tosin hit the post with a fierce shot from within the penalty area, this followed a scramble in the area, prior to Carshalton taking the lead in the 27th minute via Daniel Bennett. In the 2nd half Andronicus produced a fine save from the Carshalton goalkeeper from a dipping shot from outside the area and then soon after he crashed a shot against the upright and post. If those chances weren’t enough to draw level there was also a cross shot that hit the outside of the post and evaded Jorge Sambu who was closing in on goal.
As it was with Boro pushing forward Carshalton grabbed two late goals in the 89th minute and injury time through Daniel Roberts and Danny Bassett
So whilst a loss there was much to take from the game particularly Andronicus’s cameo and also special mention to Andre Odeku who worked hard on his full debut.
