Boro eased past East Thurrock on Tuesday night after the visitors made an early rash challenge giving Boro a penalty after only 4 minutes .Penalty taker Roman Michael- Percil confidently beat Janata in the Thurrock goal . The goal seemed to deflate Thurrock and Boro totally dominated , Aresti missing when clean through , Richards blasting over from close range, Mikey O’donoghue forcing a fine save from Janata, Dombaxe likewise as Boro threatened to run riot . A second penalty for Boro arrived on 35 when another challenge felled Aresti’s burst into the area giving the referee no option. Once again Michael-Percil converted deceiving Janata for a second time . Whatever was said to the Thurrock boys at halftime certainly changed their attitude. All of a sudden they began to move the ball forward with purpose , along the floor , quick and incisive and it made for an excellent spectacle for the 266 fans present. The game was played at a frantic pace with both sides going all out to add to the scoring , Thurrock created a couple of decent chances and Miles once again was equal to everything thrown at him , in particular making one fine save when the Thurrock forward was clean through . Boro pushed for a third and eventually it arrived on 75 minutes when Jamie O’donoghue latched on to finish well to a Bowling pass after the Boro sub raced down the wing beating a number of Thurrock players and squaring to O’donoghue .
Still time for Thurrock to get some reward for their efforts as Aileru scored from close range on 80 minutes after a swift break involving a number of Thurrock players.
That was the end of the scoring and a well deserved win for the Boro boys .
