Another really good work out for the boys as preparations continue for the first league game of the season against Bognor Regis town in two weeks time. Waltham Abbey arrived at Coles Park with a new look team put together by their new experienced manager Mark Stimson and several of last season’s premier league side Thurrock were in the squad.
Boro got off to the best possible start after an OG scored in unfortunate circumstances after just 13 minutes and that was swiftly followed with a second from the in form Chinedu Mckenzie. Coby Rowe then got in on the act after 36 mins when he came forward for a set piece and scored having found himself with too much space to head in from close home. 3-0 at half time and Tom began to ring the changes with several subs coming on as both sides used the opportunity to get minutes into their respective squads. More goals followed in the second half as Chinedu scored his second to make it 4-0 after 60 minutes and Michael Ademiluyi finished off the scoring on 80 minutes. Massive thanks to Waltham Abbey and wishing them the very best of luck in their quest for promotion and hopefully see you all again on Monday night as we take on our friends from Hanwell Town.
